General

Welcome to our website. The Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions between HegartyLighting Ltd and the user or viewer of our website 'you'. They do not effect your statutory rights. Please ensure that you read them carefully, before placing your order with us.

Access to this website is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend services without any notice. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted on our website. We will not be liable for any reason that this website is unavailable at any time.

Making A Purchase

It is easy to make a purchase. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket.  After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. Payment may be made as follows:

Credit/Debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Visa debit.  Your payment details are handled securely by Realex and we do not see your credit/debit card details. If an order is cancelled your credit card authorisation will be voided and no money will be taken from the card.  Direct payment to our bank (details given during transaction).

Surname and Order Number must be quoted with the payment. 

Prices

The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed. From time to time the prices displayed on our website may be different if you are directed to it by a third party website. Purchases at these prices can only be made on our website and by arriving through a relevant third party website; these prices will not be available in-store or over the telephone.

Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price. 

Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions ore only valid for the specified period.

Order Processing

Your order is sent directly to our secure till in our shop for processing. Once we have received your order and payment, we will pick, pack and despatch the item. 

Shipping And Handling

All orders over the value of €140.00 or more including VAT are sent within the Republic of Ireland free. Orders of less than €140.00 will incur a €10.00 delivery charge including V A T. The correct carriage charge will be calculated at checkout.  An additional delivery charge may be incurred if orders are exceptionally heavy or unusual. We will contact you if this is the case.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For all orders made from within the Republic of Ireland or the European Union, 23% VAT is included. 

Credit Card Security

For 100% security we use Realex to process your credit/debit card details. After placing your order you will be taken to their website to enter your card details. We do not hold these details nor at any time do we see them. This gives you complete confidence that you are purchasing from a totally secure website.

Protecting Your Security

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Our Guarantee To You

Hegarty Lighting Ltd guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products are supplied with a no quibble guarantee. Notification of any goods received faulty or incorrect must be made in writing either by email, fax or post to Hegarty Lighting Ltd within 7 days of receipt. Arrangements for the collection of faulty or incorrect goods will be made by Hegarty Lighting Ltd . An order may be cancelled up to 7 days from the day after date of receipt. Prior notification must be made in writing either by email, fax or post to Hegarty Lighting Ltd. We will then contact you for your credit card details and refund your credit card accordingly. If you are unhappy with any of our products or service please contact us in writing by email, fax or post. All complaints will be acknowledged within 5 working days and treated with the utmost confidentiality. Unsuitable items can only be accepted back for a refund providing that they have not been used or installed. They should be returned with the original packaging to ensure the product is not damaged on the return journey. The cost of returning unsuitable goods is at the expense of the customer. The above do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Upon receipt of the returned goods, we will refund the contract monies to the customer within 5 working days thereafter.

 DELIVERY & RETURNS

We process your order right away. You will be advised of delivery within 2 working days of placing the order. All orders will be despatched within 3 to 14 working days. Our usual hours are Monday - Saturday 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Once the goods are despatched you will be notified via e-mail and in most cases given our couriers tracking number to follow the progress of your order. 

Goods that are out of stock may take between 2 - 8 weeks of receipt of order. We will inform you of this. In the unlikely event of goods taking longer than the 2 -8 week period you will be contacted by us and given the option for the order to be cancelled if the lead time is unsuitable without penalty to the customer.

We advise you to book a qualified electrician to fit the lights once the goods have been received and not prior to this. We cannot be held responsible for any charges from electricians if goods arrive later than expected.

Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please check your item before signing. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery then please sign for the parcel as 'Unchecked'. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims you make thereafter. Please note you have 7 working days from receiving the goods to report any unwanted items (unused and in original packaging) and 48 hours from receiving the goods to report any damages. We therefore advise all items are checked immediately after receiving delivery. Claims for unwanted or damaged goods cannot be accepted outside this period.

Please be aware that an alternate delivery address may affect dispatch times, otherwise to prevent fraud, goods will only be delivered to the billing address or a business address.

Please note if you refuse delivery of goods, and you want to keep the order you will be charged a delivery fee. The free delivery offered is for one delivery attempt only.  

If you require re-delivery, Hegarty Lighting Ltd reserve the right to charge these additional shipping costs. Should you wish to cancel the order at this point, Hegarty Lighting Ltd reserve the right to deduct from any refund the cost of the initial delivery charge plus extraneous costs incurred as a result of the Goods being returned to Hegarty Lighting Ltd.

RETURNS POLICY

Your satisfaction is our main priority.

Unwanted Goods

Should you find yourself in the unlikely situation where you are not entirely satisfied with your product, we will be more than happy to refund the original price of stock items.

The goods must be returned by your own means within 7 days of receiving the delivery (the date of the delivery will be recorded by our carriers). We must obviously receive the goods back in a sale-able condition, unused, unmodified in the original packaging and box, with all associated components i.e. lamps.

Please understand that we will be unable to refund any direct costs such as the postage, packing and insurance costs.

Until the goods reach our possession you are ultimately responsible for the condition and well being of the product. We urge you to pack the goods to the same degree as to which they were received with all protective packaging in place.

Should we receive any goods back without packaging we will not issue a refund.

Please be aware that you waiver any right to return any goods that are classed as bespoke products. Products that fall in this category have been clearly marked on their product pages.

This returns provision does not affect your statutory rights (relating to faulty or mis-described goods or your right to cancel orders under the consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulations, further details of which are available from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

Damaged Goods

You must report any damaged goods upon receipt of your delivery within 48 hours by e-mail. 

Please note that the courier will require you to sign that you have received the product in good condition, if you do not have the opportunity to examine the goods you must  sign for the goods “un-examined”. If the goods or outer packaging is damaged please sign for the goods as “package damaged” or refuse the delivery.

Please be aware that a signature will be required in order for the goods to be delivered. Therefore, please ensure that there is someone available to take possession of the goods when the delivery is scheduled.

Incorrect Goods

Notification of any goods received incorrect must be made in writing either by email, fax or post to Hegarty  Lighting Ltd within 7 days of receipt. Arrangements for the collection of faulty or incorrect goods will be made by Hegarty Lighting Ltd.  We will then contact you for your credit card details and refund your credit card accordingly. Upon receipt of the returned goods, we will refund the contract monies to the customer within 5 working days thereafter. 

Hegarty Lighting Ltd will in no way be responsible or liable for any costs incurred due to incorrect goods, shortages or late deliveries relating to electricians fees or time taken from place of employment. 

Faulty Goods within warranty period

If you find yourself in the situation where your goods are found to be faulty within the warranty period and you require a replacement product please email or write to us immediately. We will need to contact the relevant manufacturer to make the necessary arrangements. It is likely the manufacturer may require a test to confirm your goods are faulty, in this scenario please follow our returns procedure as detailed in our returns policy section.

Please note that all fittings which are sold complete with lamps or tubes, are supplied on the basis that they are free of charge and are therefore excluded from warranty or damaged on delivery. Due to the delicate nature of these products we are unable to supply free of charge replacements.

Lamp life is calculated on an average and will vary depending on your location; fluctuations in voltage can considerably affect your lamp life.

All of our products are checked by hand prior to them being dispatched to ensure their quality.

Cancellation

Should you find yourself in the position where you need to cancel any goods prior to them being dispatched, you are asked to contact us by email as soon as possible.

Any goods that have already been dispatched will have to be returned by our returns procedure as detailed in our returns policy section.
